Artist profile
BarelyJared
Lyricist…this is what it’s about. Writing for the past 30 years, I view my songs as demos that would otherwise never see the light of day. I’m very genre fluid as you will come to see. Some songs come from life experiences, heartbreak, people I’ve met and situations I have lived through. Other times I just want to write a catchy club hook that takes me minutes to spill out. Either way, this is my life. I love creating, and hopefully some of you will connect with the lyrics along the way.

Workflow
Every song begins as a poem or lyric. I focus on telling stories first, then spend hours refining style prompts, vocal direction, arrangement, and production until the emotion matches what I originally imagined. I see my releases as finished demos—songs that stand on their own but could also be performed by other artists one day. Whether it’s dream pop, dance, country, or rock, the lyrics always come first
